Before 1974, “TCM”, formerly “Companhia de Transportes de Passageiros Entre Macau e Ilhas” provided daily shuttle service between Macau and Taipa.
The long-expected “Nobre de Carvalho Bridge” which linked Macau and Taipa islands was opened to vehicular traffic in 1974 and piloted the development of both islands into a new era. As a coordination with business development requirement, TCM took possession of a large number of modern buses to provide public transport service through Macau, Taipa and Coloane.
From 1974 to 1980, TCM took possession of a number of BEDFORD high-capacity buses as coordination with business development requirement.
In 1994, TCM introduced a large number of Toyota Coaster high-quality air-conditioned mini-buses..
In 1995, TCM purchased another array of “Mercedes Benz” air-conditioned large-capacity buses for the provision of services on Route No. 10.
